About me

Bridging geometry, graphs & the brain

👋 Hi, thanks for stopping by! I'm an Assistant Professor at UNC-Chapel Hill, working closely with Dr. Guorong Wu's lab. I earned my Ph.D. at South China University of Technology, advised by Prof. Guorong Wu and Prof. Hongmin Cai.

My research develops brain-inspired machine intelligence: rethinking graph neural networks through continuous diffusion and mean-field games, modeling neural dynamics on Riemannian manifolds, building AI4Science and multi-agent systems for neuroscience, and uncovering how neuropathology propagates across human connectomes — work that has appeared in Nature Communications, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, IEEE TPAMI and TMI.

We're recruiting — join our lab! Our lab (PI: Dr. Guorong Wu) is looking for highly motivated students in computer science, medical image analysis, machine learning & bioinformatics — PhD / RA / TA / (remote) externship / internship / visiting positions. Interested candidates are encouraged to contact Dr. Wu by email with a resume and transcripts.

Your AI co-pilot for brain science

A Next-Generation Platform for Mental Health Research

CyberNeuro Assistant brings large medical foundation models and a team of cooperating AI agents to the neuroscientist's desk — turning raw connectomes and neuroimaging data into insight through natural-language conversation and interactive visualization.

  • Chat with your data — ask questions about brain networks & neuroimaging in plain language
  • Multi-agent reasoning that plans, retrieves and analyzes across modalities
  • Interactive 3D visualization of complex brain connectivity & network structures
  • Built for the MedGemma Impact Challenge to accelerate mental-health discovery
